Ippuku Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL NAME], operating as “AccelOcean” (“AccelOcean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use Ippuku, its website, purchases, license services, and support channels (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Summary

You can use the core App without creating an account.
Desktop images used for visual effects remain in memory on your Mac. We do not save, upload, record as video, or analyze them.
App settings, trial status, and related preferences are stored locally on your Mac.
If usage analytics is enabled, the App sends pseudonymous usage and technical information to Google Analytics for Firebase.
Apple processes App Store purchases. Lemon Squeezy processes website purchases and Direct Version license activation.
We do not sell your personal information or use Ippuku data for third-party behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Information We Handle

A. Desktop images

If you grant macOS Screen Recording permission, Ippuku may capture one still image of each selected display when a break starts and one still image of the main display when the Visual preview opens or is refreshed. These images may contain what is visible on your desktop. They are processed locally and temporarily in memory to render the selected effect. The App does not save them to disk, upload them, record them as video, or analyze their content.

Screen Recording is optional. Without it, you can use the Pure Ambient experience where available.

B. Information stored locally on your Mac

The App stores information needed to remember your choices and operate its features: focus duration, break duration, delay, automatic-start, countdown, display and Pure Ambient preferences; selected effects, presets, and custom visual settings; onboarding status; analytics preference; trials and completed-break counters; Pro entitlement state; and a randomly generated Direct Version installation name. This information remains in macOS preferences or similar local storage and is not sent to us merely because it is stored.

C. Usage analytics

If Share Anonymous Usage Analytics is enabled, Ippuku uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect pseudonymous app-usage and technical information. In the current 1.0 implementation, this setting is enabled by default unless you turn it off.

Custom events may include onboarding choices and Screen Recording permission outcome; focus and break actions, configured durations, timer state, and completion status; selected effect or preset, access and display mode; Pro preview and trial actions; paywall, purchase, restore, checkout, activation, and unlock outcomes using bounded reason codes; app version, build number, distribution channel, and Pro entitlement state.

Google Analytics may also collect a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, launches, sessions, engagement, app and operating-system version, device characteristics, language, approximate region, and other information described in Google’s documentation. We do not intentionally include desktop images, screen contents, window names, other app names, license keys, email addresses, contact lists, precise location, or free-form text in custom events. Advertising-personalization signals and ad-network registration are disabled.

Turning analytics off in Settings → Privacy stops future collection; it does not automatically delete information already transmitted. Although the setting says “Anonymous,” Google Analytics assigns a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, so we describe this information as pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous.

D. App Store purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases, payments, tax, refunds, and Apple Account information. The App uses StoreKit to request product information and verify Ippuku Pro entitlement. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.

E. Website purchases and Direct Version licenses

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for website purchases. Its checkout may process your name, email address, billing address, tax, payment information, order details, and device or network information under its own policies.

For Direct Version activation, validation, or deactivation, the App sends Lemon Squeezy the license key, a randomly generated installation name, and where needed the previously returned license-instance identifier. The App stores the license key, instance identifier, and last-validation time in macOS Keychain. It does not ask you to enter your name or email address during activation.

F. Support communications and website information

If you contact us, we receive information you choose to provide, such as your email, message, attachments, and diagnostic details. Please do not send desktop screenshots, license keys, passwords, payment-card information, or other sensitive information unless necessary and we request a safe method. Our website or hosting provider may process ordinary server-log information; any cookies or additional analytics require notices and choices where applicable.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to provide, operate, and secure the Services; save settings and deliver requested features; process and verify purchases, entitlements, and licenses; understand feature usage and improve the App; provide support; prevent fraud; comply with legal obligations; and protect users and services. We do not use desktop-image content for analytics, advertising, profiling, or machine-learning training.

5. Legal Bases Where Applicable

Where law requires a legal basis, we rely on contract, consent for optional analytics where required, legitimate interests in securing and improving the Services, and legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

We disclose information only as needed with Google Firebase / Google Analytics; Apple; Lemon Squeezy; hosting, email, and support providers; professional advisers and authorities; and in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not authorize service providers to use App information for unrelated advertising.

7. Retention and Deletion

Desktop images exist only temporarily in memory. Local settings and trial state remain on the Mac until changed or removed. Direct license credentials remain in Keychain until deactivation or credential deletion and may remain after the App is removed. Analytics under our control is retained for no more than 14 months; support communications normally for no more than 24 months; and purchase and tax records as required by applicable providers or law.

To request deletion of information we control, email info@accelocean.com. Because analytics is not linked to an account, we may be unable to locate specific events using your name or email address alone.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can decline or revoke Screen Recording permission, disable future analytics in Ippuku → Settings → Privacy, use Pure Ambient mode, deactivate a Direct Version license, decline to send support email, and stop using the App. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, portability, or complaint to a regulator. These rights may be limited by law.

9. International Transfers, Security, and Children

Apple, Google, Lemon Squeezy, and other providers may process information outside your country; where required, safeguards such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual clauses are used. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no method is completely secure. The Services are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required locally.

10. Third-Party Services and Changes

Third-party handling is governed by their policies, including Apple, Firebase, Google, and Lemon Squeezy. We may update this Policy and will post the revised version and update its date.
