How to turn a video into a Live Photo on iPhone

A Live Photo combines a still image with a short moment of motion. It is a lovely fit for a pet jumping, a wave breaking, a child laughing, or a quiet part of a trip you want to keep close.

Start with a short, clear moment

Choose a video where the subject is already visible in the first frame. A short clip with one clear movement usually feels better than a long clip with several competing moments.

Trim to the part worth replaying

Save it, then make it yours
